How to convert JPG to SVG

  1. Choose the JPG.
  2. Use the Black & white preset for signatures and line art, or Logo for colored marks.
  3. Keep Reduce noise on; raise “Ignore specks” if dust or paper texture shows up.
  4. Download the SVG.

Why JPGs need extra cleanup

JPEG compression adds blocky artifacts and color fringes around edges. Traced naively, each artifact becomes a tiny shape. The noise filter and the speck threshold remove them before tracing, which typically cuts the SVG size several-fold.

Vectorizing a signature

  1. Photograph or scan it on white paper in even light.
  2. Crop tightly around the signature.
  3. Choose Black & white and tick Remove background — you get a transparent SVG you can place on documents at any size.

For logos and line art, usually yes. For detailed images with many colors, the SVG can be larger.

Can I edit the result?

Yes. Each color is one <path> you can recolor or edit in any vector editor.
