Email signature image size: logo & headshot resizer
Updated Nothing is uploaded
Email signature images should be small in file size but sharp on high-resolution screens. The usual recipe: a 300 × 100 px logo shown at 150 × 50, or a 200 × 200 headshot shown at about 100 px — exported here as PNG with a transparent or round mask.
Displayed at 150 × 50 for sharp retina rendering.
How to resize
- Pick Logo, Headshot (round) or Banner.
- Upload your image; logos keep their transparency.
- Fit the whole logo or crop the headshot to your face.
- Download, then insert it in Gmail (Settings → Signature → Insert image) or Outlook and set the display width to half the pixel width.
Recommended email signature sizes
| Use | Pixels | Ratio | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Logo 300×100 | 300×100 | 3:1 | Displayed at 150 × 50 for sharp retina rendering. |
| Headshot 200×200 | 200×200 | 1:1 | Displayed at 80–100 px. |
| Banner 600×150 | 600×150 | 4:1 | Never wider than 600 px — most email layouts are 600 px wide. |

Why export at double size?
Most laptops and phones have high-density screens that display 2 pixels for every point. A 300 × 100 logo set to display at 150 × 50 looks crisp; a 150 × 50 file looks blurry. Keep each image under about 50 KB so emails stay light and don't trigger spam filters.
Gmail and Outlook gotchas
- Gmail can't upload images directly from your computer into a signature in every account type — upload the file to Google Drive (shared) or use Insert image → Upload.
- Outlook desktop ignores CSS rounded corners, so the round headshot is baked into the PNG.
- Some clients block images by default; always include your name and phone number as text too.

Frequently asked questions
What size should an email signature logo be?
About 300 × 100 px, displayed at 150 × 50. Never wider than 600 px.
What size is an email signature photo?
200 × 200 px, displayed at 80–100 px wide, cropped to a circle.
Why is my signature image blurry?
It was saved at exactly the display size. Export at twice the display size and set the width in your email client.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Resizing happens in your browser; your image never leaves your device.
